Just stumbled on this pic of one of my fave singers to ever grace our planet; Ms Patti LaBelle! We met for the first time by happenstance at a Jezebel Magazine event years after she recorded my song "Let Me Be There For You" on her Grammy nominated Gold album FLAME. I was standing off to the side just watching as journalists took pics and people swarmed her and she kept glancing over at me then points at me and says; "Do I know YOU?" I responded that I wrote LMBT4U and she yells "Is it you?! Is it really you?!" Next was a blur: I apparently levitated into her hug! Magical! Patti is so down to earth & cool! We chatted about our connection; the great Laura Nyro! A memory I'll always cherish!  Oh! and the icing on the cake? She nicknamed me "the Songstress!" Be still my heart!
